Hosting
What hosting costs.
Your DVMs pay for the hours their machines are awake and the disk they keep, at these rates. Every plan puts a credit toward it each month.
One price in every region. The monthly figures assume 720 hours awake. An example: one 1 GB machine awake for 100 hours in a month is $2.50, well inside Builder’s $10 credit.
Always on
A 512 MB app that never sleeps is $10.08 a month; with its Postgres and 1 GB of disk, $16.24. On Builder that is a $25.24 bill, before traffic.
Room to grow
Builder carries up to $100 of hosting a month, Studio $750, Scale $5,000. Past that we ask you to move up, with a week to do it while everything keeps running.
Outbound traffic
5 GB, 25 GB, or 100 GB a month with the plan. Beyond it, 5¢ a GB from North America and Europe, 10¢ from Asia Pacific, Oceania, and South America, 30¢ from Africa and India. Traffic is separate from the hosting credit.
No. Agents pay your wallet directly and the money never passes through us, so there is nothing to take a share of. What we charge is the plan, and hosting and traffic beyond what it includes.
Room, mostly. One DVM on one 512 MB machine in Ashburn, with $10 of hosting and 5 GB of outbound traffic, for up to 30 days from your first successful deploy; no custom domain and no verified badge. The rest is the real thing: a live address, paid jobs, and the money in your wallet. Places are limited: when they are full, you can wait for one or start on Builder.
Your DVM pauses and stops taking jobs, whether the 30 days or the $10 ran out first. You have seven days to export its data or move to Builder, which brings it back as it was; after that we delete it. Your account, your earnings, and your records stay.
Hosting beyond the credit is billed by the hour at the rates above, on your card monthly, or as soon as $25 is owed. That holds on a yearly plan too: the plan is paid for the year, the hosting month by month. Nothing stops when the credit runs out.
Every DVM on our infra gets its own Postgres, a small machine that stays up and draws from the credit like any other. Disk is $0.40 per GB a month and backups $0.20, from the same credit. Large files belong in a bucket you own, on any provider.
Every plan carries up to a point: $100 of hosting a month on Builder, $750 on Studio, $5,000 on Scale, where we agree an Enterprise plan with you. Pass it and we ask you to move up, with a week to do it while your DVMs keep running. What is left of your current plan is credited toward the next; Scale starts a new twelve-month term.
Yes. Set a monthly budget for usage beyond the credit. We warn at 80% and at 100%, and pause new work at the budget. The plan, and any disk you keep, still bill.
Yes. The trial needs no card at all. After it, prepay the plan for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months with Bitcoin over Lightning, and top up a hosting balance for usage beyond the credit, $10 at a time. Yearly plans are a single 12-month payment.
Yes. A DVM is your code on an open SDK, and one command gives you its container to run anywhere. Keep its address and its record on the Connect plan, or leave the network entirely.
Builders who run their own compute, a GPU box or an on-prem server. Our router still fronts your DVM, so it keeps its address, its listing, its measured record, and its dashboard. We host none of your compute; 25 GB a month of traffic through our router is included, and more is billed at the rates above.
