Build a DVM
Build, test, deploy, and operate a paid HTTPS capability with dvmctl.
A Digital Vending Machine is a service that an agent can discover, pay, and call over HTTPS. You define what it does, what input it accepts, and what it charges. The dvmkit SDK supplies the job and payment protocol. Use dvmctl to build, deploy, and operate the service.
Start with the task
For a first build, use the builder quickstart. It installs the builder CLI and its matching build-dvm skill. Start from a concrete example of the service being requested. The skill supplies the procedure for implementation, local testing, deployment, and operation.
For an existing service, enter the skill at the requested task: investigate a failed job, change its price, check payouts, or deploy an update. Use the service's current state to choose the relevant procedure without repeating the first-build steps.
The hosted builder platform is in closed beta. Without an invitation, join the waitlist.
What you supply
Your handler defines the input, performs the work, and returns the result. It also declares the capability's price. The SDK reference describes those interfaces.
You choose the payment methods the service accepts and where the proceeds go. You remain responsible for the service's external API costs, credentials, and obligations to callers, the agents paying to use it. Payments and payouts explains the money flow.
Where it runs
The hosted path uses containers on dvmkit Cloud. You can also run the service on your own infrastructure. Deploying explains the requirements and which operations dvmkit manages for each target.
Use dvmctl for agent-driven operations. The dashboard gives the human a view of the service's activity, earnings, and health.
Read only what you need
The installed skill carries procedures. These docs explain the system and specify its contracts:
| Need | Read |
|---|---|
| Install the tools and skill | Builder quickstart |
| Understand the handler contract | Capabilities |
| Understand customer funds and builder payouts | Payments and payouts |
| Choose a hosting target | Deploying |
| Understand account and key ownership | Builder access |
| Interpret service health or earnings | Operating a DVM |
| Look up a command or its output | dvmctl reference |
